7 Welcome to Spore. Create your own personal universe, the life that will inhabit it, manage evolution, form tribes, establish your own civilizations and conquer others and, eventually, blast into space to discover new worlds. Will Wright is one of history's most famous video game creators., SimEarth, SimLife and are just come of his most well-known creations. His games have sold millions of copies, and with every new game, Wright seems to outdo himself.
This time, Wright's impressive creative vision has aimed especially high - Spore. The game has been under development for years and has got to be one of the most ambitious projects in the short but intense history of videogames. In broad terms, Spore can be described as a life simulator, beginning with a one-celled ocean creature, passing through the natural evolution of species, domination of Earth and the conquest of the galaxy. Spore is a game so imaginative and engrossing that you can only do it justice by giving it a go!
We still don't know much about Spore, the new concept game being developed by Electronic Arts. What we do know is that it will be an online, multiplayer game with a never before seen theme. In Spore, users will create their own species from scratch, starting from the microscopic stage and evolving them through subsequent phases (up to five, according to Electronic Arts). Spore Creature Creator is just a trial version of the creature creator in the full Spore game, so it won't include all of the resources you'll eventually have available.

Creating a new being is as easy as adding different body parts from a lateral menu. One thing to keep in mind is that you have a limited amount of credit to spend. Mouths, ears, horns, eyes, arms, legs, scales, claws. Everything has a price. It's also possible to give your creature some color.
You can use predefined styles if you don't want things to get too complicated. Once you've finished constructing your specimen, you can give it a name and test out its movement to see if it will succeed on the ground, and how it responds with various emotions. The creatures that you create will remain stored in the Spore Pedia. Don't miss a peek at the examples that the game has provided you.
